Video capture device
The video capture device source allows you to add a variety of video devices, including but not limited to webcams and capture cards. Drivers must support DirectShow output. Since DirectShow is the standard output format for Windows, all major webcams and capture cards support DirectShow and will work with CLOSE RadioTV.
To add a device, simply add the "Video Capture Device"item , and properties and select your device from the"Device" drop-down list .
The main configuration options are:
Configure (button): This button will open any driver configuration utility. For example, with a Logitech webcam, it will open the camera's configuration software to enable custom options. With a capture card, you can open the options to configure the input resolution and FPS.
Flip image/flip image horizontally: Flips the video image vertically or horizontally. Some devices (rarely) will send the video input upside down.
Custom resolution: most of the time this can be left off (defaults). If you have problems with the appearance of your device, check the option to manually configure the following options:
Resolution: set the base resolution for the video device, make sure it is a mode compatible with your device!
FPS: sets the frame rate per second of the device.
Color space: sets the color space in which the device will be output.
YUV output format: sets the color range in which the device will be output.
Use buffer (milliseconds): Allows to activate a buffer in milliseconds. By default this option is disabled.
Audio input device: Disabled by default. Allows to choose an audio device to send it to the stream or to the default output of the system.
Color key (chroma key): Allows you to define a color to be replaced by transparency.
