mediaTV allows four general working modes:

  1. MANUAL mode
  2. CLOCK mode
  3. CLOCK TIME mode
  4. COMMERCIALS ONLY mode

These playback modes determine how CLOSE RadioTV handles the content of the PlayList loaded in mediaTV, and present different interaction possibilities to the operator.

By default, the system automatically plays (starts playback) of commercial blocks and predefined schedule items from the loaded PlayList.

The following playback modes change the behavior of the system to adapt it to the working dynamics of each show or station.

3.1.1 MANUAL mode

It is activated by pressing the MANUAL button in the playback options of the mediaTV grid and its Auxiliary players.

Manual mode suspends automatic playback of all scheduled items, such as commercial blocks and items scheduled for specific times. The operator has full control over item playback while MANUAL mode is active.

3.1.2 CLOCK mode

It is accessed from the pop-up window that appears by clicking on the PlayList area.

In this working mode the system completes the 24 hours of programming, based on the contents of the current PlayList. The items with a predefined schedule show the scheduled time and will be played automatically at that time.

The user can insert items into the list, change the order or delete items. You can also activate the MANUAL mode to take control of the scheduled items (suspends automatic playback).

3.1.3 CLOCK TIME mode

This working mode is similar to the previous one. Programming is completed for 24 hours according to the current PlayList items but all items are loaded with exact times (hour:minutes:seconds) and operator intervention is completely restricted.

It is not possible to insert items into the mediaTV player, change the order of items or delete them. MANUAL mode is not available either.

To deactivate the CLOCK TIME mode, the operator can load a normal list into the mediaTV player.

3.1.4 COMMERCIAL ONLY Mode

In this working mode, the main mediaTV grid plays only commercial blocks.

To access this mode:

  1. Click on the Playlist area.

  1. In the Playlist loading window, click on the PLAY COMMERCIALS ONLY option.

  1. It is not necessary to select a Playlist. mediaTV will load all commercial blocks generated for the day.

The playback of each commercial block will start automatically at the set time, unless the operator takes control by activating the MANUAL mode.

To leave the COMMERCIALS ONLY mode, load a new Playlist in the player.

3.1.4.1 Music and content playback

When mediaTV works in COMMERCIALS ONLYmode, the operator cannot add content to the grid from Media Manager. Music lists and other items are managed from mediaTV's AUXILIARY playback modules.

In the AUXiliary windows the MAIN MUSICoption appears . This option defines that window as the main music player. Only one AUX player can be active as MAIN MUSIC.

The AUX player active as MAIN will automatically play its content after the end of a commercial block, as long as the PLAY MUSICoption is enabled in the main mediaTV (active by default).
