Media Manager
It is accessed from the MediaTV module by clicking the Media Manbutton . The window displays the titles available in the system; it allows you to search for material and load it into playlists.
3.4.1 Loading and management of securities
The files in CLOSE come from two sources:
- From the CLOSE cloud: when the system works in parallel with an Air Management software, it takes the titles broadcasted via RDS and automatically downloads the corresponding video clips, if available. These titles are stored in a folder defined in the system configuration ( default is C:\CloseRadioTVContenidoAudioAsociado).
- Entered by an operator: Files can be manually added to the music folder defined in the system settings (see 5 - Settings).
3.4.2 Categories
The folder defined for contents (in the System Configuration) can contain subfolders, which are displayed in Media Manager as CATEGORIES. The media folder can also contain files, but files located directly in the media folder will appear without a defined category in Media Manager. It is recommended to organize all media in subfolders.
ATTENTION - LOADING NEW FILES
Each time a folder is created or files are copied, thelibrary must be reindexed in Media Manager (right click) for the changes to be reflected.
MediaManager does not show empty subfolders.
3.4.2.1 Dynamic categories
A dynamic category is a special type of PlayList that is generated from the result of a search and displayed in Media Manager as a category. That is, the dynamic category does not exist as a folder on disk because the titles that compose it come from other categories.
To create a dynamic category, proceed as follows:
- Open Media Manager
- Define a specific criterion to perform a search
- Right-click and choose "Create Dynamic Search Category".
- Enter a name for the Category.
- A PlayList/Category containing the search results is created.
The content of this category is dynamic, as it is updated when titles matching the search criteria that generated the category are added or deleted.
Example: a dynamic category is created with all titles containing the word "rain". If a new title containing the word "rain" is then added to the Media Manager, it becomes part of the dynamic category.
Dynamic categories can be inserted into playlists in the same way that simple Categories, titles or other PlayLists are inserted.
3.4.2 Searches
To perform a search, youneed to enter at least one search criterion. The search field combines your action with the drop-down menu on the right.
- In ALL, Name and PlayListmodes , the left field allows you to enter text to perform the search.
- In Category mode, the left field becomes a drop-down menu that displays the list of categories to view their contents.
The results window displays the result of a search, which may contain Playlists, or the total content of a given category (Category mode).
Titles are loaded into the mediaTV or auxiliary player or "grid" by dragging and dropping.
Playlists can also be created from MediaManager by right-clicking, as explained below.
