Launches the mediaTV configuration options. They are divided into 3 groups:

  • File recognition
  • General Options
  • Production (for when you have more than one CLOSE RadioTV license on the same station)

Sweeper/Separator identification

By default, titles are identified as music, unless they are tagged as Sweeper or Commercial. The "Sweeper Word" field allows you to enter a keyword or "tag" to identify the contents as sweepers or separators. It is used so that the name of the separators, artistic or music sets are not displayed.

When the title contains the word entered in this field, it is identified as a separator and neither the artist's name nor the title is displayed.

The name of a folder can be entered, so that the entire contents of that folder are identified as a sweeper. For this, the name is entered between backslashes.

By default the value of this field is \sweepers

Commercial/Traffic Identification

Allows you to enter a label or tag to identify the content as a commercial advertisement. By default it identifies all content in the folder C:\CloseRadioTVContent\Commercials.

When a name is defined between backslashes (\commercials\) it is considered a folder name, causing the entire contents of that folder to be identified as commercials.

DJ assist: do not repeat

This option avoids repetition of titles. It allows you to set margins per title and per artist. It only affects music.

The DJ assistant only has action on nested playlists when playing randomly (RND). It does not affect the playback order of the main mediaTV playlist or "grid".

General Options: Repeaters

When this option is checked, it defines that the workstation operates as a repeater, enabling it to receive commands from a Close RadioTV Headend or Master station. The repeater rebroadcasts the audio from the Headend, replaces all or some commercial blocks and identifiers with local content.

There are two working modes for the repeaters:

LOCAL Repeater: the computer working as a repeater is located on the same LAN as the Headend station. In this case, the commands for material replacement are sent via LAN, while the audio signal from the head-end enters the repeater through the default recording input in Windows (repeater sound hardware).

Internet relay: the computer that works as a relay is located outside the Header station. In this case, the commands for the replacement of commercial blocks are sent over the Internet, through a CLOSE server (it can also work with third-party servers).

The Header audio is received via streaming, defined by a streaming insertion command in the MediaTV grid or list.

Audio Fallback

Configures the action to continue in case the playback of a streaming URL link is interrupted.

Using metadata

If this option is checked, the Media Manager module is enabled to use the included metadata of the media files (title, artist).
